Crisis Hopefully Averted
Our computer recently crashed, which is why I've been so incommunicado lately. Also, we just went to two weddings within two weeks, both of them out of state, so that was a big fucking pain in the ass. Speaking of pain, my hands hurt so I'm keeping this short. More tomorrow.
Basically, we had to back up everything important in safe mode and bite the bullet and reinstall windows. Here's to hoping it keeps working.

My computer is completely weak. How's the mac working out for you? I am horrified at the idea of having to buy a new computer (here's hoping my old one gets fixed soon), because everything has FUCKING VISTA, which I already hate even though I've never used it.
The mac is working out fine. If you have a lot of software on your old computer, you won't be able to use windows software on a mac, but other than that, I haven't seen any serious issues. the filing system is a lot different, but all you have to do is hit this little search button at the top of the screen and type the name of the file you want and it brings it right up. That and it boots up almost instantly. so far, i love the mac.
